Not as good as Beastly, but still very enjoyable!

This novella is told in epistolary fashion as a series of diary entries from Lindy's perspective of what transpired during Beastly.

Lindy actually lost points from me during the first half of the book! She admitted in the diary early on that she had feelings for Adrian but kept them to herself because she knew the two of them could never have a "normal" life. Yet, she also revealed that she did not find Adrian to be beastly at all but thought that his face and, in particular, his eyes were quite beautiful. I did not get the impression from reading Beastly that she cared much of what other people would think, but this diary proves me wrong. I was disappointed that she seemed to shallow! However, by the end of the book, she realized that it had been a mistake to leave and wanted desperately to return to Adrian. So, I was happy about that! Maybe Kendra's curse not only had an effect on Kyle but also on Lindy, because she no longer took stock in what other people thought by the end of the story.

Although not as good as Beastly, I still really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read the next book in the series, Bewitching, which was released last year!

This was great!

Its exactly like another perspective of beastly, not in as much detail, but you can tell Alex Flinn put as much of Lindy as she had in her into this book. It is amazing, and just Lindy. you learn a lot of things about her that you didn't learn from beastly, and i loved this book!!!!! :)

Good Novella

I am a big fan of Alex Flinn; Beastly was the first book I read from Flinn and I feel in love with the re-telling of the classic Beauty & The Beast. Since then I have become a big fan of re-tellings and recently finished Bewitching. (review).
Lindy's Diary gives you insight on how Lindy was feeling through out the events that took place in Beastly. This novella was a great addition to Beastly. The only problems I had was it was short. Although most novellas are, I just would have liked to have more of my favorite parts in beastly through Lindy's eyes. Other than that I adored this novella.
I recommend reading Beastly before reading this. It would be rather confusing if you have not.

Excellent book.... for the initiated

Horn and Johnson has written an excellent reference book on somewhat-advanced linear algebra (from the point of view of an engineer). There's a lot of treasures in this book, but this book is NOT for beginning linear algebra. Rather, it is written as a handy reference to review and learn certain topics in linear algebra.
Nonetheless, I really like their take on linear algebra. They motivate you in every subject and problem (for example, the relations between eigenvectors, eigenvalues, and optimization problems). These insights are invaluable and definitely worth the admission price.
Together with Golub and Van Loan's "Matrix Computations", this is THE linear algebra book to get, although only if you're sufficiently initiated.

If you need to know anything about matrices - this is the book. It cover all the basic theory. Perfect for graduate-level courses. The book also has lots of material relevant to optimization theory and can be used in Operations Research courses. One of the nice features is a comprehensive index that makes the book a perfect reference source. Nicely written and easy to read.

Horn and Johnson's MATRIX ANALYSIS is simply a masterpiece. You can find each and every result in matrix analysis along with it's proof in this book. Look at their companion volume "Topics in Matrix Analysis" too. Some of these results cannot be found elsewhere.

Phillip E. Pace is a professor at the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, and was previously a design specialist with General Dynamics Corporation. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Cincinnati, and his M.S.E.E. from Ohio University. He is a senior member of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society, a member of SPIE, and chairman of the U.S. Navy's Threat Simulator Validation Working Group.

Great Book

I liked this book for the following reasons: great introduction to the variety of digital receivers, the diagrams and figures are very good and aid in understanding the subject, just enough mathematical equations to learn the information and not fall asleep, and best of all, the Matlab programs are very useful.
I recommend this book for anyone interested in communications.

scraped me off the floor!

This book, I came across by 'chance' ? And read, while I was struggling in the aftermath of a relationship break up. My urge to cling on and recover what was lost was destroying me emotionally. (I did not realise God was pruning me!)
I let go ..not instantly...placing that person in His heart. Finally once my own heart was empty and open He poured His gifts in ...the Holy Spirit poured through me in loving forgiveness of that person as I lifted up that others heart. I have moved on, needing only God's approval and love. Thank you for this book!!

How to Let Go and Let God is not only an easy read; but, it is an awesome book. Regina Baker does an excellent job of sharing with us how the tragedies in her life were events that escorted (and maybe even catapulted) her into new and triumphant places in God. I especially appreciate that it is easy for one to relate to what is being communicated. This book will be a resource that I will keep and re-read as a reminder that God is ALWAYS in control. May God continue to bless you, Regina, to impart the love of God into the lives of and the wisdom of God into the souls of those who hunger and thirst after righteousness.

let Go and Grow

This was a great book because it really makes you take a look at yourself and your relationship with God! Regina and I had similar experiences but the way we dealt with them were different at the same time. I had some other things that I had never dealt with in my life that were back and I realize the process I went through was because I was holding on to them! This book helped me realize that I really needed to let go and turn them over to God because he is in control and has all power in his hands! Do this and watch your life change! Thank you, Ms. Regina Baker, to God be the Glory!!!

As she begins to make plans, Cade starts dropping subtle hints about the state and the apartment complex she selected. Could he know? Is she just being paranoid? The harrowing game of cat-and-mouse is taking its toll on Macy, her mind is gripped in terror, almost paralyzing her. Trepidation and fear prevail as the readers enter the final chapters of the book, suspense intensifying with each page. Will Macy achieve deliverance from her personal hell, or will Cade be able to successfully stop her from escaping? And what will he do if he does catch her?

Ms. Gregory is master at showing just how quickly and quietly a master manipulator gains control, the victim never sees it coming. She allows us a realistic look into an abusive relationship. I came to know the characters and felt myself loving some and hating others. I would highly recommend this page turner.

Jeannie Gregory did a fantastic job on her book “Silent Screams”. I was immediately drawn into the story and found myself emotionally attached to the characters. She has shown how quickly a predator and masterful manipulator can take over and control your life. She has brought some great insight into how abusive relationship start. This was a great read and would highly recommend this book.
