About the Author
Jaeil Lee, PhD, AAFCS, ITAA, is an Associate Professor and Director of Clothing and Textiles Program at Seattle Pacific University. Her experience includes a technical design position at Abercrombie and Fitch, one of the top retailers in the nation. Her research focuses on apparel product development, creative teaching and curriculum development, and cross-cultural study of fashion consumerism. Lee has presented and published her research in the United States and abroad. She maintains her active membership with the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) and International Textiles Apparel Association (ITAA) and was selected as 100 Future Leaders of Korea 2011 by the Overseas Koreans Foundation and the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Seoul.
Camille Steen is Senior Technical Designer at Ex Officio LLC, a leading maker of travel apparel. She has had twenty-five years of experience in apparel design including Serac Skiwear, Calvert Sports Apparel and Nordstrom Product Group; and in the technical design field, at Ex Officio.

GREAT SOURCEBOOK!

I attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and this was one of our require textbooks for Technical Design and Manufacturing Concepts. This book is excellent! It expounds on design in fashion with a focus on technical design, the development of clothing, the creation of tech packs, and the business aspect of fashion. I am so glad I found this book for $16 instead of the standard $88+. What a great deal! I'd recommend to anyone who is serious about fashion but does't know where to get started.
