About the Author
Juan Gallardo is an entrepreneur from the Spanish city of Seville. A born adventurer, he has lived in the UK, the US and Europe and has travelled extensively. In 2012, Juan gave up a successful seven year career in Finance to embrace his passion for Southeast Asia, and headed for Myanmar. After a few months travelling the length and breadth of the country with his backpack and camera, he was inspired to start a blog where he shared his experiences of Myanmar along with his bold and vibrant photography of the country and its people. The blog was an immediate hit and now has thousands of visits every month. Juan returned to Myanmar in 2014 with a renewed desire to discover everything about Burmese cuisine. He travelled to remote areas of the Golden Land, tasting traditional dishes cooked for him by the locals. It is these amazing dishes, the warmth of the people and the beauty of the land that is captured in Delicious Myanmar.

Wonderful, authentic book on the culture and cuisine of a little-known country

Excellent perspective on the food and culture of a country still relatively unknown to the outside world. Anyone with even a vague interest in the culture and cuisine of Burma/Myanmar should seriously consider this book. The author has quite clearly spent a significant amount of time in the country and has done a tremendous job of sharing his experience through the writing of this book.

A personal, beautiful presentation of Myanmar - people, food, and culture

A beautiful presentation of Myanmar - people, food, and culture. After reading and enjoying the photos, recipes, and descriptions of people and sights - I am anticipating returning to Myanmar and enjoying the foods and flavors with a heightened appreciation - with a willingness to go beyond my own "comfort zone" - as the author apparently has done. Juan Gallardo, the author/photographer, has successfully conveyed his enthusiasm for the people, the food (of the people...nothing fancy!) and the country - and it feels sincere, heartfelt, a labor of love.
A caution: the recipes don't give specifics such as 1/2 cup of this or that... but I suspect this reflects how foods are actually prepared in homes, street stands, tea-shops, and restaurants. For someone looking for precise recipes, this won't do that. Instead the book gives a sense of how cooking is actually done. I am looking forward to visiting a Burmese restaurant in my home city (San Francisco) and seeing if they offer some of the most appealing dishes. - Mohinga (catfish stew), Tea Leaf salad, Shan Noodles, Tiger Prawn Curry, Fish in Banana Leaf, Sticky Rice Stuffed in Bamboo...sounds delicious. And, I want to go to Myanmar!

This book reminded me how warm and welcoming the people are. The guidebooks don't convey that - and this books does. (I've traveled in Myanmar three times, and am going again in a few weeks.) Of course, go there yourself if you can - this book will have you wanting to if you haven't yet - and thinking about returning if you have.

The book is for food and Burma lovers, as well for newcomers and for longterm expats who still will discover new dishes… Even after 8 months in Burma, I still learnt things about Burmese culture and food !
People who opened their kitchen door to Juan Gallardo are beautiful and you can feel amongst the pages their kindness and willingness to share.
Made me hungry and eager to go deeper in Myanmar culture at the same time !
I just feel like knowing more about the people's story or recipes... Next book i guess!

Finally, spirituality and exopolitics connected through science

This is a leading edge dot-connecting book with a positive message.

Having read this book, I invite you to broaden your world view with this book and understand how important it is to develop our own souls, which I believe is one of the utmost important message of this book that reaches far into the heavens.

This book is exopolitics upgraded, and exopolitics is the higher spheres and qualities of UFO-research, in my views. Therefore I recommend it to UFO-researchers, to broaden their understanding of the larger scheme.

I recommend this book for science-oriented academic people who are anti-spiritual and avoid esoteric nonsense, since the ideas in it are backed by hard-core evidence, so even diehard skeptics have to accept it. Science shouldn't be a matter of belief, personal interests or secretive oaths, in my opinion.

I would recommend this book to all spiritual people, enlightenment-researchers - I came from this subculture - who avoid the topic of UFOs as nonsense and find it hard to open to the reality that we live in an organized universe, because this book will help them see the bigger picture, backed by science and by science of spirituality - e.g. Michael Newton's research -, in an understandable way.

I am convinced that David Icke's Perception Deception and David Wilcock's Syncronicity Key confirm the messages of this book and Michael Salla's Galactic Diplomacy gives a further description of our intergalactic-interdimensional ''playmates'' of this ''illusionary'' multiverse of moral lessons and co-creation and co-selfdevelopment with Source.

Why I like this product and how it affected me:
I had first met dr. Michael Newton's books on a Jose Silva method course which describe the life between lives. I then encountered the UFO whistleblowers of Project Camelot and the Disclosure Project and the field of exopolitics, which fitted well to my point of view that it is crazy to believe that we are alone in an infinite universe and that we are taken care of from higher beings.

Yet I couldn't connect these two, unsafe multidimensional sphere where some ETs can interact with souls in a positive or negative way, and the absolutely safe and sheltered place of lives between lives. I just couldn't put these together, this remained a question.

Then I heard it myself in the youtube-interview titled Alfred Lambremont Webre - The Omniverse: A Dimensional Ecology, that the originator of exopolitics, Alfred Webre would write a book where he would upgrade exopolitics and connect spirituality and exopolitics, I was thrilled, because these are usually two very distant areas and I would finally get the ultimate picture.

When I found that this would be backed by other top-notch scientific discoveries (like those of quantum-physics I learnt about in the movie 'Thrive' and 'What the bleep do we know'), I said WOW. And now here it is, and I am getting what I hoped and expected.

Brilliant, but not accessible

Brilliant but not too accessible, this book explores the concept that the Universe as a whole is much more than the physical World we see and touch. Building on foundations of modern metaphysics, physics, and spiritual research the author builds a wholistic Universe to encapsulate everything in one nice but not-so-neat paradigm - the Omniverse. Pulling in the alien enigma isn't that much of a stretch, when you think about it. But beyond these high level concepts things start to get a little dicey in the "what's fact vs. theory", though one could argue it's all speculation, of course. But as a metaphysical Grand Unification Theory, I think it does fairly well.

My major complaint is the writing style of the author. If one more "Prima Facie" term was penned, I was going to scream. His over indulgence is this term, and a few others, becomes highly distracting. A good Ghost Writer would make this book much more accessible.

This is a really valuable book, that goes trough very complicated and difficult subjects.
The subjects are; dimensions, God-source, extraterrestrials, consciousness, the human soul, time travel, teleportation, and much more. Concepts, definitions, conclusions...
You will learn about scientific evidence that are the basis of many of the subjects here, and there isn't really much room for skepticism after this. So be prepared to change your world view and expand your level of awareness, after reading this book there is no going back.

Alfred's Wars

This is an excellent book. Working from diverse primary source material, which many other books dealing with this topic fail to do, the author builds a image of Anglo Saxon England during the Viking era that is both informed and compelling. The author investigates every aspect of warfare at this time including the very important social and cultural aspects of warfare that are often overlooked. The use of primary sources is impressive with not only literary texts but sources such as wills and probate records being used to arrive at conclusions. The style of this book is scholarly and the conclusions are measured. For anyone interested in an informed understanding of how things actually were in the era of Anglo Saxon warfare against the Vikings this is a highly recommened book.

A DIM PICTURE OF EVENTS

I expected to enjoy this book and I did not. It does contain a wealth of interesting material. The problem is the style,which is elliptical to the point of obscurity. The writer seldom tell us plainly what he means, or what his conclusions are, though five of the chapters finish with a `Summary' and one concludes with a `Summary and Observations'. What we are presented with is an analysis of the various conclusions reached by other scholars as to the interpretation of the sources, interspersed with over-lengthy quotations. The reader sometimes feels that he is removed from events - which are after all the stuff of history - by the presence of several panes of glass.

The central question which has troubled historians of the late Anglo-Saxon state is whether it was essentially strong, and unfortunate to go down fighting at Hastings, or whether it was weaker than its neighbour, in particular the Duchy of Normandy; and, if William the Conqueror had not triumphed in 1066, some other invader would have done. Unfortunately, this book did not give me any very clear answer to the question.

Convincing, but ultimately a sham

TL;DR: Read this website: http://www.johntreed.com/Kiyosaki.html and you will see why Robert Kiyosaki is not a good resource on personal wealth management. This whole "Rich Dad Poor Dad" debacle is, however, a great lesson in detecting garbage advice-giving companies that are only out for their own self-interests.

I think it should be concerning to potential buyers that most of the recent 5-star reviews are overly short, vague, and look likely to have been solicited to artificially improve this book's rating. I have no proof of this, but it is suspicious.

In any event, I can see why people are drawn into this book and the Rich Dad company that Robert Kiyosaki has built for himself. I consider myself financially savvy, and even I found myself drawn into his works. The general ideas sounded great, and lined up nicely with what I have been learning over the years in teaching myself how to manage my money. Additionally, the whole book is given a great big vote of confidence by "rich dad," Kiyosaki's personal financial advisor and super-successful father to his childhood friend.

The problem is, there is no rich dad. Everything about how Kiyosaki had this childhood mentor who taught him all these great life lessons about personal wealth is a work of fantasy. Here is an exact quote from Kiyosaki himself when pressed by SmartMoney Magazine about who rich dad really was: "Is Harry Potter real? Why don’t you let Rich Dad be a myth, like Harry Potter?" He boasts of several major real estate flips of which there are no public records. He also claims to buy the majority of small companies right before their share price sky rockets, then makes big money on the proceeds. Except, anyone that owns more than 5% of any publicly traded company is required to report the sale to the SEC. Kiyosaki's name is not on any of these reports. There is also a large pile of evidence that Kiyosaki became wealthy only after this book and his subsequent line of financial-advice products became best-sellers. To be sure, that is one way to get rich, but it is notably absent from the rest of his "profound" advice.

Admittedly, he does have some good points. Ones that I personally think are worth remembering for anyone trying to build their personal wealth are: Learn how to make your money work for you through wise investments, understand your tax obligations and ways to (legally!) reduce your tax liability, failure is all part of the process, and school (and a sad number of parents) will leave you woefully unprepared to manage your personal finances so you'll have to learn about this area of your life on your own. That last sentence is pretty much all that can be gleaned from this book, and all of it you'd probably figure out on your own anyway.

There are much better resources on Amazon and elsewhere that can teach you about money management from authors that actually built their wealth instead of selling you a bunch of false promises.

Inaccurate, misleading, unsubstantiated and weird.

This book is utterly, utterly ridiculous. It tells you absolutely nothing useful but is full of bizarre unsubstantiated theories about the world. I suppose self help books tend to be like that. But I'd expected a bit more given that this one is so highly recommended by people.

This book has changed my life, I have lost my fear and greed (desire) and WILL put these ideas into action, I will continue to learn, study and will invest a lot more into myself, my only problem and my only solution.

I've seen this book get a one star rating, I can't understand why, if you truly 'open (change) your mind' understand the concepts being presented, you will know what he is saying is right. But if you are like everyone else, you will resist change, complain that it was a waste of time and stay doing what you are doing, and expecting a different outcome, which is the definition of - Insanity.

for a better price AND as a prime member

I was very excited to learn this book was going to be released. I had benefitted so very much from the original, "Drop the Rock." I was willing to pay the price from the publisher plus shipping--- was ecstatic when I saw it on Amazon, for a better price AND as a prime member, my shipping was free and speedy!

As for the book itself, I was initially skeptical when I first realized that it was a different author. The fact is, I needn't have worried! The book was great. I can't begin to describe all of the 'a-ha' moments that it inspired. Well written, thoughtful and truly helpful on my journey.

I really have enjoyed this book

I really have enjoyed this book. I bought it for a friend for her anniversary in a recovery program. Actually I have it downloaded on my tablet but found this really handy to read.

This book is simple but nudges my mind to think of things that I know are things I can improve on ... been sober for many, many years and there is always a lot to learn and this book awakens my mind from its tendency to rest on my laurels...

A piece of gold!

I had the privilage of finding this amazing book. Having a lots of doubts about step 10 this author help me to open my mind and I learned how beneficial for my life is to practice this step and how enriching would be for my recovery to learn to apply it all day!! That's a goal that by faith, learned in my program AA, I will accomplish with the help of my fellows friend, AA and God as I understand it. Thanks for your service writing this treasure!!
